3H Paving stands behind every job. Below is a summary of our standard workmanship warranty and the limitations that apply to it. Your project documents may include additional warranty terms specific to your job โ€” those terms control if there's any conflict.

What's covered

3H Paving warrants that the asphalt and sealcoating work performed by our crew will be free from defects in workmanship for the following periods:

  • New asphalt installation โ€” one (1) year from the date of substantial completion.
  • Asphalt overlay and patching โ€” one (1) year from the date of substantial completion.
  • Sealcoating โ€” six (6) months from the date of application.
  • Striping and pavement markings โ€” six (6) months from the date of application.

If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, we will repair or replace the affected area at no charge.

What's not covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear โ€” including hairline cracking, fading, and surface oxidation that occur naturally over time.
  • Damage from heavy or concentrated loads โ€” including dumpsters, trailer jacks, vehicle stands, or vehicles exceeding the spec'd load rating of the pavement.
  • Damage from chemicals or fuel โ€” including gas, oil, diesel, hydraulic fluid, or de-icing chemicals.
  • Damage caused by snow removal โ€” including plow scraping, salt and chloride exposure, or shoveling damage.
  • Damage from tree roots, settling soil, or shifting subgrade outside of base preparation we performed.
  • Cracks caused by base failure when 3H Paving did not perform the base preparation.
  • Damage from acts of God โ€” flooding, earthquakes, severe storms, or extreme freeze-thaw events outside normal Utah/Idaho conditions.
  • Modifications or repairs performed by anyone other than 3H Paving during the warranty period.

What you need to do

To maintain warranty coverage, follow the basic care instructions we provide at the end of your project. In particular:

  • Allow new asphalt to cure for the time we specify before driving on it.
  • Avoid parking in the same spot for extended periods during the first 30 days.
  • Follow our recommended sealcoating schedule (typically every 2โ€“3 years).
  • Promptly address oil leaks, fuel spills, and other chemical exposure.

How to make a warranty claim

If you believe you have a covered warranty issue:

  1. Contact us within the applicable warranty period at (435) 310-4694 or [email protected].
  2. Provide photos of the affected area and a description of when the issue appeared.
  3. We'll schedule an on-site inspection within a reasonable time, usually within 10 business days.
  4. If the issue is covered, we'll perform the repair or replacement at no cost to you.

Sole remedy

This warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy for any defect in workmanship or materials. 3H Paving's liability under this warranty is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the affected area. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
